TO THE REST OF THE NATION:


Tennesseans rank 8th in the nation for Syphilis infections, very few states have more individuals infected with this bacterial disease than Tennessee.


Tennesseans rank 9th in the nation for Chlamydia infections.  Chlamydia is one of the least know sexually transmitted diseases, yet it the most common sexually transmitted disease among younger age groups.


Tennesseans rank 10th in the nation for Gonorrhea.  Gonorrhea, commonly know as the "clap" is preventable, yet continues to be a major cause of infection among sexually active Tennesseeans.

Genital discharge, burning, itching, pain when urinating, or a rash can be an indications of a sexually transmitted infection.





Although these symptoms are prevalent, the most common symptom of an STD

is NO SYMPTOM AT ALL!
